About me:
I work with adults, with neurological conditions, such as:
Stroke
Acquired brain injuries
Traumatic brain injuries
Other Neurological Conditions, including (but not limited to): Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Multiple System Atrophy, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and others.
I also work on medicolegal cases as a treating therapist.
I provide assessment and therapy for a range of conditions, including:
Communication difficulties:
Aphasia (difficulties with language)
Dysarthria (slurred speech)
Acquired Apraxia of Speech
Cognitive Communication Disorder
Swallowing difficulties (Dysphagia)
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (SL34264).
I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
I am also a McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) provider.
I keep my knowledge up to date by attending regular clinical and peer supervision, reading studies and book chapters, being an active member within clinical excellence networks and attending professional courses and conferences.
I am also on the committee for the Acquired Brain Injury Clinical Excellence Network (ABICEN)
